Die Gewinner des Qantas Australian Tourism Awards 2009 wurden am Freitag in Hobart (TAS) bei einem Gala-Abend im Hotel Grand Chancellor bekannt gegeben.
Das Melbourne Aquarium wurde bei den Australian Tourism Awards als beste touristische Attraktion des Jahres 2009 geehrt. Das Aquarium, das in diesem Jahr seinen 10. Geburtstag feiert, nahm die höchste der 27 Auszeichnungen entgegen.
Mehr als 800 führenden Unternehmen der Tourismusbranche nahmen an der Veranstaltung teil.
